An ancient variety of figs, imported in the eighteenth century by a noblewoman from Macerata. The extreme delicacy of the ripe fruit is revealed in the soft consistency but which manages to remain whole thanks to the attention paid to delicate cooking and in very small quantities.
Excellent in combination with white meats and cheeses. Fantastic in richer starters with hand-sliced raw ham or speck.
