Light in color, with a very light smell and an equally delicate flavor with a light fruity note. Like many other honeys, Sainfoin honey also has important properties. When taken regularly it can help relieve liver ailments and detoxify it. Last but not least, this honey has sedative, emollient and antiseptic properties.
Sainfoin or Onobrychis viciifolia is a perennial herbaceous plant, with a rosy corolla. Often widespread in meadows and mountain pastures with flowering from May to August. The peculiarity of this plant are the flowers, gathered in long panicle-shaped inflorescences, of a very intense pink. You will be fascinated by their sight, a bit like bees for their nectar and pollen, from which they produce a delicate Sainfoin honey belonging to the family of rare and precious honeys.
